Robbie Savage reckons no Celtic stars would make it into Leicester City's starting XI.

The Welshman, 44, often debates the Hoops with former Celts striker Chris Sutton.

On BBC 5 Live Sport, Savage opened up a radio confrontation between a Leicester City fan and a supporter of the Bhoys to discuss which club was the bigger outfit.

It descended into somewhat of a shouting match between the two, leading to Savage giving his own opinions.

He believes Brendan Rodgers' on-form Foxes - who thrashed Newcastle 5-0 yesterday to go third in the English Premier League - are a much better side.

And no Hoops players would fit into the XI.

He said: "In 1967 Celtic won the European Cup, magnificent.

"But we'll never know how Celtic would do in the Premier League.

"Globally Celtic are the bigger club, I would say that. Fan base, probably bigger around the world.

"But in terms of the current sides, not one Celtic player would get into the Leicester starting eleven the way they're playing.

"We'll never know how good Celtic would be in the Premier League because of the finances.

"If they had the TV money and years to build, with their fan base, crowds they get and the history of the club, they'd be a Premier League club eventually, of course they would.

"But at the minute Leicester, for me, are the better side."
