Queen's Park have shared a nostalgic photo of Champions League winner Andy Robertson and brand new Scotland player Lawrence Shankland during their time at Lesser Hampden.

Shankland joins his international captain and former Spiders teammate Robertson in Steve Clarke's first-team set-up for the first time.

The striker has been in sensational form this season with 15 goals from 12 matches.

And he's been rewarded for his goal scoring prowess with international recognition after an insane return of 78 goals in his last 86 games for Dundee United and Ayr United respectively.

But just how far Shankland and Robertson have come was evident in the brilliant throwback from the pair's first big club when they wrote: "Seven years down the line, we’ll be back for @ScotlandNT".

The quote was referencing the fact that the pair will play together at Hampden once more.

Lawrence Shankland and John Fleck confirmed in Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for Euro 2020 double-header

Fans adored the snap, which racked up hundreds of likes and shares in less than an hour.

One even gushed: "Class guys".

We told how Shankland was expecting a call-up before the official announcement earlier today.

Meanwhile Arsenal star Kieran Tierney has missed out through injury and Leigh Griffiths remains sidelined.
