Gerrard lined up by Leeds?

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was considered to replace Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds, according to a report.

The job Gerrard is doing at Ibrox has not gone unnoticed down south.

Gers last weekend overtook Celtic at the top of the Premiership table by two points with a 5-0 mauling of Hamilton while the Hoops lost 2-0 to Livingston.

Football Insider now claim that Gerrard is being lined up to replace Bielsa should the Argentine decide to leave at the end of the season.

He had reportedly considered walking away at the end of last term but stayed for another year.

But Liverpool legend Gerrard could replace him this time around.

Clarke Gunned down

Scotland manager Steve Clarke has been knocked back by Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn.

The boss hoped to persuade Gunn - whose dad Bryan played for Scotland - to don the dark blue.

But it is believed the stopper wants to continue his development in England’s set-up and won’t budge.

Eddy can make big money move

Ex-Rangers striker Kris Boyd believes Odsonne Edouard could make a seamless switch to Manchester Utd.

The striker has started the season on hot form and won August’s player of the month award.

Boyd, though, reckons United should raid Celtic for the France under 21s cap.

He told Sky Sports: “I don't think it'll be January, but come next summer, if there's something of £25-30million, which is reasonable for me, I think this guy will go to the very top.

"If I was Manchester United, I would come in and give the £25-30million in the summer.”
