GREGG WYLDE hopes he can rekindle his love of football as he searches for his next challenge in the game.

The former Rangers kid is currently without a club after ending a short stint with Livingston in September.

Wylde has had spells at Aberdeen and St Mirren north of the border and has also spent time in England in recent years.

Now he is looking for a new opening on the park after returning to Scotland and settling down off it.

Wylde told the FourLadsHadADream Podcast: "I was at Plymouth for two years then I went to Millwall for a year-and-a-half and then I went back to Plymouth.

"I thought ‘this is too far away’ and I had to be nearer my family. I was getting married at the time so I had to move back up the road and Livingston came on the phone.

"Things never worked out there at all. It wasn’t my football ability.

"I don’t know what it was but he never gave me a chance. If you ask any of the boys, I just didn’t get a chance at Livingston.

"I got married, I am settled down now with my wife and our own house and, at the moment, I don’t have a club.

"I had a few options to go back but I just need to go somewhere and enjoy my football. It doesn’t matter where it is or at what level. I am 28 and I want to be playing and enjoying my football again to put a smile on my face.

"It is hard just now because I am not getting up and going into training every day. I have had a few options. I will take my time and hopefully get back into it sooner rather than later."
