Rangers have confirmed that Steven Gerrard will play for the Light Blues this weekend in their Liverpool legends match - in a subtle Coleen Rooney-esque announcement.
Gerrard was already scheduled to don the Red of his former club during the charity game at Ibrox but hinted that he may well provide a cameo appearance for Rangers.
That suggestion sparked wild speculation from fans who have been desperate to see the Anfield icon in blue.

And now the club have confirmed he will indeed play for Gers - at least for a short spell during the game.
But in their clever social media announcement they jumped on the bandwagon regarding the Coleen Rooney and Becky Vardy row - by taking the mickey in their post.
Referencing the final line of Mrs Rooney's investigative announcement where she revealed Mrs Vardy had been leaking stories about her to the press, Gers tweeted: "It's... Steven Gerrard".
They accompanied it with a snap of Gerrard 8 in royal blue.
The Rebecca Vardy vs Coleen Rooney feud rumbled on this afternoon with reports that the former categorically denied selling stories to the Sun.
Rangers hero Ally McCoist even had a laugh about the situation, claiming Leicester City's stars will be quick to roast Jamie Vardy over his wife's alleged antics.
