Christopher Jullien has apologised to Celtic fans after his "nervous" showing against Livingston led to a 2-0 defeat at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

The Hoops defender had a torrid afternoon against Lyndon Dykes and Scott Robinson as the pair both scored to sink the Celts.

Jullien had a particularly difficult time of it up against the physical strikers and even went as far as to thank them for giving him the jolt he needed.

Posting on social media, the towering centre-half said: "Back 2 @spflofficial.

"Have to make right some things. Sorry Celtic fans for being too nervous last time, won't happen again.

"And to be fair I have to thank Livingstone's forwards for that wake up call.... Either I win or I learn #stayfocus #neverstaydown #hoopsupsideyahead".

The £7million stopper will likely start for Celtic this weekend at home to Ross County before they welcome Lazio to Parkhead next week in Europa League action.

The Livingston clash saw Neil Lennon's men surrender top of the Scottish Premiership to Rangers - who lead now by two points.
