Not bad for a Scottish lad who cost the then-English Championship side pocket change of around £3million.

And he reckons he'd be the perfect fit for the Red Devils - and that fans would take to him straight away.

Allan, 27, told PLZ Soccer: "He's a player that fans get endeared to because of the work ethic.

"But he's got the quality, too.

"Everyone's seeing that now.

"And it'll maybe give people down south a look at the Scottish league and see that we do have quality up here."
