Josh McPake may be on loan at Dundee, but he's already identified the players at Rangers he intends to learn from to try and break into the Ibrox first-team.
The midfielder signed a new deal which ties him to the club until 2022.
And after doing so, he immediately set his sights on Steven Gerrard's starting eleven.

Impressing during his loan move to Dens Park comes first, though, and the 18-year-old is determined to find success on his spell away from Glasgow.
But his tunnel vision to become a Rangers starter remains and he hopes to be able to learn from the likes of Ryan Kent and Jermain Defoe when he returns to Auchenhowie.
"I don’t think there’s a better place in Britain for me to develop and prove myself," he told the Daily Record.
"If I’m coming through at Rangers and making an impact under Gerrard, it’s such a good platform for the rest of my career.
"The manager now just wants me to get first-team experience, which I’m getting at Dundee.
"He has told me to embrace it and rise to the challenge. What the manger said has really helped me.

"Before I moved, Jermain was helping me with my finishing. That was a part of my game that had to get better.
"When he came in I started to do wee things with him after training. His attitude is great, he’s a brilliant role model for all the young players.
"Ryan is the same. Seeing guys like that up close is brilliant for me, especially with him playing the same position.
"He’s confident on the pitch but quiet off it, which is a bit like me.
"I watch how he takes on his man, the body feigns. I can learn from all of that stuff to hopefully help me become the player I believe I can be."
