Former English Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson reckons Craig Gordon doesn't like manager Neil Lennon - and he'll have to leave to get close to first-team football.

The ex-Blackburn and Tottenham stopper finds it difficult to comprehend why Gordon, 36, can't get near the starting XI at Parkhead.

But he believes his fellow keeper will be finding it difficult out of the side.

Celtic star Craig Gordon and girlfriend Summer Harl caught up in Barcelona protests

And he's revealed he wouldn't expect Gordon to get on with Lennon - as it can be difficult when you're not playing.

Retired Robinson told Football Insider: "Take Craig Gordon out the team, he doesn’t like the manager now, he’s not going to, so it can be very, very difficult for a third choice goalkeeper to break into the team, given what’s ahead of him,.

"He’s got two very, very good, old, experienced goalkeepers so for him to break through you’ll probably need injury or suspension or look elsewhere to get game time.

Craig Gordon feared he may never play again as he speaks of relief at making Celtic comeback

"He’s been excellent for Celtic for the last couple of years, I think he’s been outstanding.

"I don’t know if it’s harsh he has been dropped, that’s a managers’ personal preference.

"I have not seen enough of his performances this year to comment on whether he should be dropped or not but the way that Craig Gordon’s suffered injuries and was able then to come back at a level at Celtic – because he was frozen out for a while and was brought out the wilderness by Celtic – for him to reinvent himself at his age was an outstanding achievement."
