Former Celtic defender Alan Stubbs has urged the Hoops to try and sign Mohamed Elyounouusi on a permanent deal.
Elyounoussi has been terrific for Neil Lennon this season so far since joining on a season-long loan from St Marys.
The £16million player, however, is understood not to have a permanent fee clause in the loan.
Mohamed Elyounoussi says he should have scored five in Celtic's semi-final win over Hibs
But Stubbs reckons now would be the ideal time to at least ask the question after the Norwegian notched a double to help his side through to the Betfred Cup final against Hibs last weekend in a 5-2 win.
Speaking on Ladbrokes Social Club, Stubbs said: "It might [take a lot] but it's probably not a bad time to test the water before he carries on.
"If I'm Celtic now I'd definitely be having initial conversations with his parent club, seeing how they progress."
