The latest news and gossip from around Scottish football.

Eddy too costly

Odsonne Edouard is being tracked by a host of Italian clubs - but they are being put off by his COST, according to a report.

Lazio, Roma and Napoli are all reportedly keen on the Frenchman but, according to Napoli online, none have yet made a move because Celtic are holding out for big bucks.

Edouard is contracted until 2022 and would not be going anywhere in January, as boss Neil Lennon has already stated.

And given that the Hoops only have one fit striker at the moment, Edouard's value to the nine-in-a-row chasers is even more significant.

The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals in all competitions for Celtic this season so far.

Sinclair: I'm ready to go

Celtic attacker Scott Sinclair has shown off his incredible muscles and told fans: "I'm ready".

The winger has only managed six appearances for Celts this season and his last outing came as a sub against Hibs back in September.

That hasn't kept him from working hard in the gym if his Instagram post is anything to go by.

Sinclair, 30, wrote: "No matter what the situation, I’m focused and ready..!"

Fans rushed the post clamouring for their player to return to the fold.

Barisic almost said cheerio

Rangers star Borna Barisic admits he's relieved that he decided against quitting Ibrox last season.

The Croatian had a tough time with form and was not a fan favourite until this campaign where he's found his feet.

The Scottish Sun report him as saying: "To be honest, I did think about leaving Rangers. It was the second half of last season around February, March.

"It was a hard time for me. I had a few injuries and I couldn’t really settle down.

"To be a player here, you have to have that mentality to win every single game.

"You can’t be happy because the team have won three, four or five games.

"Here you have to win all the time. You have to be brave and get the team to the top of Scottish football — that’s what we want to do.

"In the summer, I thought of everything and I decided I wanted to come back and be a success at Rangers.

"The pressure is massive at this club, and you have to deal with that.

"Now I don’t feel pressure, I just feel confident in myself and the team."
