Rangers' Gary McAllister says lifting Betfred Cup could act as catalyst for more trophy success

Former defender David McCracken is the runaway favourite for the role at 6/5 with Lee Miller the same odds with McBookie.

But, interestingly, towards the end of last week McBookie confirmed a number of bets had been placed on McAllister to take the reins.

It still looks unlikely and with McBookie, the odds reflect that as he remains an outside shot at 14/1.

Also at 14/1 is Lee McCulloch, Jim McIntyre and Peter Houston.

Among the other frontrunners are John Hughes and Owen Coyle, though they're still further away at 10/1 respectively.
