LEIGH GRIFFITHS will be included in Celtic's squad for Saturday's fixture against Livingston, Neil Lennon has confirmed.

The 29-year-old has rarely featured for the Scottish champions this season as he continues his ongoing recovery from personal issues that ruled him out of the majority of the 2018/19 campaign.

Griffiths featured in a 6-0 win over Stenhousemuoir for Celtic's development side earlier this week, scoring twice.

"Leigh Griffiths will be involved in the squad this weekend", Lennon said.

"He is good, he is happy. He needs to stay there now and improve his conditioning.

"It is bit by bit but we have seen enough now to think he may make a contribution.

"We have 11 games between now and the end of December and we will be using the squad and Leigh obviously is a part of that."

While Griffiths is set for a Celtic recall, Hatem Elhamed and Mohamed Elyounoussi will remain sidelined by injury.

"Hatem [Elhamed] will be out for another couple of weeks," Lennon added. "Moi [Elyounoussi] should be back in the next seven to 10 days.

"Greg Taylor’s had a couple of international games and he’s come back bouncing. Bitton too. Those games will benefit him."
