Ex-Rangers midfielder Alex Rae has lauded Alfredo Morelos as the top player in Scotland.
Morelos has scored a whopping 25 goals in 29 games so far this season and Rae reckons that's enough to see the Colombian stroll to the top of the list.
His influence on the squad was also considered by Rae who credited the attacker with bringing other players into the game, holding up play and winning fouls.
And that was enough for the 50-year-old to put him in front of the likes of Celtic's Odsonne Edouard and Callum McGregor.
Asked for his number one player in Scotland by Daily Record, Rae said: "I've gone for Alfredo Morelos.
"When you talk about influence in a team, when you've got 24 goals in 20 starts it's phenomenal, remarkable.
"But then you touch on what else he brings to the table and the influence he has.
"The Rangers team feel as if they're better with him leading the line.
"He's obviously a goal scorer, brings people into play, his link-up play has improved dramatically.
"Then you've got his individual goals. He rolls people, smashes them in from acute angles.
"I just think 24 goals in 20 starts is sensational."
Celtic hero Chris Sutton was quick to disagree with Rae's assessment - after at least accepting the frontman is a decent candidate.
But Sutton, perhaps unsurprisingly, opted for a Hoops player.
He responded: "For me, it's the most influential player in the country and that's Scott Brown.
"He is the player who gets the most out of players around him.

"I thought a couple of years ago he was done.
"He's 34 now and to be in that physical condition which he is now, he looks like he's getting fitter and fitter.
"He can't go on forever but I'm amazed at his level of fitness, the influence on the players around him and the Celtic dressing room."
Brown only made number nine on Rae's final list.
