DE VRIES: Seemed to flap at one effort from Jordan Jones in the opening half with Greg Taylor firing the rebound wide of the target. Little chance with the goal after he was left exposed and produced saves at the death to prevent Jones and Mulumbu from adding to Kilmarnpck’s lead. 6

HENDRY: Booked on his Celtic debut for a foul on Jordan Jones. Started the game well and looks relatively assured but looks as though he will benefit from playing alongside an experience centre-half. 6

BOYATA: Had to go off after injuring his groin. Seemed to make an innocuous block but was grounded immediately after. The irony of the injury was that he picked it the injury as he tried to atone for his own mistake in losing the ball. 3

AJER: Another one to add to the injury list. Struggled to play on after clearly injuring his ankle before accepting defeat and going off. 4

TIERNEY: Industry never in question as he worked his way up and down the flank. Pulled into a defensive reshuffle because of the injuries when Celtic went to a back three. 5

FORREST: Quiet and never rarely managed to get any real penetration on a well organised and effective Kilmarnock defence. 5

KOUASSI: Booked in the early stages for a foul and couldn’t make any real impact on the game. 5

NTCHAM: Free-kick that grazed the roof of the net in the opening half and another that drew a save from James MacDonald as the game drew to a close but not the same influence that he has had on recent outings. 5

BROWN: Booked for what he later claimed was his first foul and never really got to grips with things in the middle of the park as Kilmarnock dominated the second period. 6

MUSONDA: Celtic keen to get the ball into the Belgian’s feet and showed some deft footwork at times but not able to truly put his stamp on the game. 6

DEMBELE: Looks off the pace. A run of games may help him find his touch but couldn’t build on last midweek’s performance against Hearts. 5

BITTON: Took over from Boyata at the heart of the Celtic defence. 5

SINCLAIR: Came on for Ajer but is another who just cannot find the form of last season. Had a couple of half chances but no real impact on the game as Celtic struggled to break down a resilient Kilmarnock backline. 5

EBOUE: On to try and add a bit of aggression to Celtic’s forward line as they looked to take the points. Never really got into the rhythm of the game. 4
