I was brought up with games against Rangers being a 50/50 split so I am a bit bemused at the current nonsense that is going on over tickets.

To me, you either get back around the table and agree to revert back to the way it has been in recent times in that both clubs receive around 7,000 tickets for the travelling support or else you just don’t take any at all.

It seems more manageable to do it that way. Having fewer supporters going into the stadium seems to increase the security risk so surely it makes sense to go back to the way it has worked for so long?

There is no doubt that the game loses something when you only have one set of supporters in or when there are only a tiny amount in the ground. That isn’t to say that there won’t be an atmosphere – there will always be an atmosphere at any game between Celtic and Rangers but it is entirely different if there are two decent sets of supporters in the ground.

To me, changing it in the first place at the start of this season was silly. There will be people missing out on tickets who have always gone to games and to me it seems like common sense to revert back to the way it has been.

Otherwise I think it is best to just not bother taking any tickets at all.
