IT doesn’t surprise me to see Celtic looking at bolstering their attacking options with bids for the likes of young Dunajska Streda striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo.
For me, that is the clear priority given that Moussa Dembele hasn’t been replaced and no one yet knows how long Leigh Griffiths may be out of action for.
But I don’t think the defeat to Rangers will be the catalyst for radical action in the January window over and above what has already been planned. Whatever happens was likely to have been part of the strategy all along.
They weren’t waiting on that result to come along before they targeted the areas of the team that need strengthened. Those targets would have been there all along, just as the shortcomings of the team have, but it may just have underlined those needs a little.
