We all know that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

You pay your money and are free to say what you think – but when it crosses a line it is out of order.

By all accounts Martin Canning’s dad had to leave last week’s game early because of the abuse that was being directed towards his son.

Sometimes in bigger numbers when you are on the receiving end of abuse it doesn’t actually feel as personal as when it is coming from a small group.

I don’t know what Hamilton fans expect. To me, if they finish tenth every season then that is a success. They don’t have the finances to cope with the bigger teams and the ambition every year is always simply to stay in the top flight.

I don’t see Accies often to comment on how they play but I would fear for Canning this weekend as I suspect that the best he will be able to do is to keep the scoreline down.

The way that Celtic have kicked on since the came back from Dubai doesn’t suggest that they are in any mind to let up and with the slump in confidence and belief from Accies, I suspect it will be a long afternoon for them.

And that is regardless of how the diseased Celtic surface is. We had a disease every season. We just called it January when all the green stuff seemed to disappear for months.
