Tomorrow night's Europa League game against Valencia will come too soon for Kieran Tierney.
Speaking ahead of the game against the La Liga side, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that while the Scotland internationalist has returned to training he won't make the game against the Spaniairds.
Tierney has not played since early December because of an ongoing hip and pelvic issue and won't be rushed back for the Europa League tie.
"Kieran Tierney has trained but won't be available," said Rodgers. "Emilio Izaguirre andJoso Simunovic are fit and available.
"We're unfortunate that we have injuries but we've had a few throughout the season. We just carry on like we have all year.
"We'll be ready for it. The players we've brought in have adapted well and are young and hungry for the game.
"It's very important for Celtic to compete at this level," continued Rodgers. "The club is historically synonymous with European competition so we want to do all we can to do well."
