SECTARIANISM in Scotland is nothing new, but it is good to see it back on the agenda.
Steve Clarke was brave to put his head above the parapet along with my former teammate Kris Boyd, and for me, it doesn't matter what team you support or what side of the divide you are on, this kind of stuff is completely unacceptable.
The Rangers supporters are incredible, and gave me huge backing in my days as a player at Ibrox, and it is such a shame to see their good name being tarnished by an element who keep this stuff going.
Now that we are having an open debate about ridding bigotry from our game at last, what I would like to see is all factions coming together as one to call this behaviour out and try to eradicate it from the game.
Racism used to be a problem in Scotland and beyond a couple of decades ago, but now it is clear to absolutely everybody that it will not be tolerated.
That took time, and similarly, it will take time to drive sectarianism out of not only football, but our society.
I look forward to a day when the type of religious bigotry we see at stadiums all over the country become just as unacceptable as racism or homophobia.
