Former Hearts and Wolves midfielder has joined Airdrieonians as assistant manager.
The 46-year-old will be alongside Ian Murray in the dugout for this weekend's game with Montrose in Scottish League One.
Cameron boasts 28 Scotland caps as a player as well as stints at Dundee and Coventry.
He told the club's website about his desire to help the Diamonds' promotion push this season.
He said: "I’m pleased to join the club and I’m looking forward to getting started. It’s a challenge, because there’s a clear ambition here to get up the leagues, so hopefully I can help to get the club moving in the right direction.
"I’ll bring enthusiasm and 100% effort to the job, I’ve always put my heart and soul into every job I’ve had whether that’s been playing or coaching.
"I hope that the demands I put on the players will rub off, and if that means we can get an extra 5 or 10% out of them, that’s great."
