AFC Fylde rebounded from Saturday’s shock home loss to Chesterfield with a 6-2 thrashing of Havant & Waterlooville in the National League.
The home side had edged into a 2-1 half-time lead and turned on the style in the second period to step up their challenge for an automatic promotion place.
Matthew Paterson’s early penalty threatened to make it another difficult night for the hosts but Ryan Croasdale and Jordan Tunnicliffe nudged them in front before the interval.
Further goals from Danny Rowe, a second for Tunnicliffe, Tom Crawford and Ashley Hemmings wrapped up the points while Alfie Rutherford grabbed a consolation for the visitors late on.
