Michael Van Gerwen returned to the top of the Premier League table with a comprehensive 7-2 victory over Gerwyn Price.
Defeat by James Wade and a draw with John Henderson had left the Dutchman under pressure, but after a tight start in Nottingham, he landed a 132 finish to give himself a 5-2 lead and then produced 13 and 14-dart legs to seal the win.
The world champion leads Rob Cross by virtue of legs won against the throw after the Englishman saw off 2014 champion Raymond Van Barneveld 7-3.
Cross won five of the last six legs, one with a 129 checkout, to secure his fourth win and leave Van Barneveld at the foot of the table.
UK Open champion Nathan Aspinall went down 7-2 to Michael Smith despite landing a 158 checkout, while Mensur Suljovic’s 7-3 win over Wade moved him away from the drop zone.
Daryl Gurney survived a match dart to draw 6-6 with Peter Wright after winning the final three legs.
