St Mirren manager Oran Kearney has insisted that he is not fearing the drop despite dropping a point behind Dundee. The Paisley side lost 4-0 at Celtic Park and while the games against those in the top half of the table will not determine Saints' fate, Kearney believes the current run of games has been unkind to his side.
"Disappointing is probably the best word to describe it," he said. "A lot was made of the last time we played, but playing Celtic away from home and playing at home is two different things. We came with a way of trying to play tonight, the manner of the first goal is very disappointing, just from a simple job.
"The last thing I am going to be looking at is looking at scores. I can’t control what Dundee do, what Hearts and Hibs do. We are in control of that, the same way as all 12 clubs, we are all in control of our own agenda.
"You’d love to try to take points off them, whoever came up with the fixture list wasn’t planning a nice January for us. It was disappointing."
