SCOTLAND'S hopes of getting their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign off to a winning start have been dealt a blow after Jordan Archer, Barry Bannan and Charlie Mulgrew were all ruled out due to injuries.
Alex McLeish's side get their Group I campaign underway against Kazakhstan away in Astana on Thursday and then play minnows San Marino in Serravalle on Sunday.
But Millwall goalkeeper Archer, Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Bannan and Blackburn Rovers defender Mulgrew have all withdrawn from McLeish's 27 man squad.
Liam Kelly of Livingston and Stuart Findlay of Kilmarnock have been called into the squad as replacements.
