MARK WARBURTON has refused to be drawn on the fee that he paid Rangers for winger Barrie McKay this summer.

Chairman Dave King claimed the £500,000 deal was ‘bad management’ by the Light Blues as McKay moved to the City Ground.

Warburton said: “Our job is to get the best possible deal we can for Nottingham Forest.

“I will never comment on Rangers’ business activity. But we were delighted to get Barrie on board.

“He has settled in really well, it was a big move for him. He is a Glasgow boy and for him to make that first move away from home is tough.

“He came here with expectation, because he had won a Scottish cap.

“It was a big move for him. Likewise Jason Cummings, but both of them have adapted.

“We are striving for more consistency now, but there is no doubt about the talent he brings us. Barrie is an outstanding young player.”
