THE chance to go top of the Premiership is all the incentive that Rangers need when they face Hearts on Sunday.
We haven’t been above Celtic at this stage of a season since we returned to the top flight so it shows the turnaround in fortunes under Steven Gerrard that Rangers could do that in December.
If you thought Thursday night against Villarreal was a big game, well this one is even bigger and even more important.
Whenever Rangers go to Tynecastle, you know exactly what you are going to get. It will be a real battle, there is no doubt about that.
Rangers will have to play well, really well, to get all three points but the prospect of being top of the league should drive the players on.
Psychologically, it would be huge for Rangers but it will take the same effort they put into the Villarreal game.
