KENNY Miller will be 39 next week, but he is still fit, playing well and scoring goals.

He got a hat-trick against Hamilton last week and then netted in the match with his old club Rangers at the weekend.

It must have been a bittersweet moment for him at Dens Park on Sunday because it was the Ibrox hierarchy who forced him out last season.

But he still loves Rangers. I noticed that he didn’t celebrate his goal out of respect for the fans of the club he played for so many years.

That is measure of the man he is.

I think if Kenny keeps playing as impressively as he has been in recent weeks in the second half of the season then I think Dundee will stay up.

But it isn’t just up front where they have improved, it is in the middle of the park and at the back too.

They had a couple of chances at the end of the Rangers game they could easily have scored. They broke with numbers in the closing stages.

I think Jim McIntyre has really got his teeth into the job there now and the team is playing far better due to him.

Dundee drew level with St Mirren on points with their draw with Rangers and have a game in hand.

A lot depends, of course, on what happens in the January transfer window.
