JORDAN ROSSITER is a young man that hasn’t played enough football since making the move from Liverpool to Rangers and there is no doubt that will have hurt his development.

So I think a loan deal this month would be the best thing for him and would hopefully allow him to go and show what he can do week in, week out and get him back up to speed.

Everyone at Rangers had high hopes for Jordan when he signed and Steven Gerrard knows better than most what he could be capable of after working with him at Anfield.

But he has never really had the chance to prove that because of injuries and he has spent so much time fighting his way back to fitness over the last couple of seasons.

It is no use for him coming on for five or ten minutes here or there. The manager needs to know that he can play a bigger role for the team so Jordan has to show that he can be relied upon over a longer period of time.

I know Jordan loves being up here and loves being a Rangers player but if you are training during the week and not playing at the end of it, that is hard for any player.

Nobody wants to be on the bench or in the stand and Jordan is the type of boy that just wants to play football. So he needs to find that chance.

If the manager says to him that he wants Jordan to move on loan and he feels that he wants to stay and fight for his place, that would be admirable.

But he is not going to get that opportunity that he needs when you look at the squad that Steven has right now.

Jordan needs to be playing 90 minutes every week to get his sharpness back and to show people what he is all about. Hopefully he could then come back to Rangers and make the impact that everyone hopes he can.
