THERE was a lot of talk about a tweet that Jordan Jones put out when he signed his pre-contract with Rangers and a lot of people weren’t happy with him.

It was maybe a bit naïve. You have to remember he is still young and everyone makes mistakes.

I know Jordan well and I know his mentality. He always bounces back from setbacks, regardless of what they are, and I am confident he will be right on his game when Rangers face Kilmarnock tomorrow night.

He will want to show the Rangers fans why the club have signed him. He has played well against them before, but you need to keep reminding them what you are capable of.

But he will know he has a point to prove to the Killie fans as well and if Steve Clarke picks him then he will go out and do his best for the club that are still paying his wages.

He played in the Scottish Cup against Forfar on Saturday so he has got the home game in front of the Rugby Park fans out the road. It will be a test of his mentality but he always comes through challenges like that.

Jordan has been terrific for Kilmarnock during his time there and, as he said himself last week, he will be determined to finish his time down there on a high note this season.
