JOE WORRALL showed a lot of character to come back after his mistake at Kilmarnock and put in a more than decent performance against Livingston.

He made his error, he held his hands up and he got on with it. Fair play to him for coming back like that.

The thing that stood out for me was Steven Gerrard. It shows you what kind of a man, never mind a manager, he is when he sticks with him.

It would have been the easiest thing in the world for a weak manager to throw Worrall under the bus and then leave him out for next game.

Steven referenced the mistake that Worrall made last Wednesday night, but he had to in the context of the game. But he stood by him as well.

Supporters were giving Worrall a lot of criticism and they were calling for him to be dropped but Steven clearly has faith in a player that, I think a lot of people forget, is still only 22-years-old.

That shows you the mark of the man he is. He put him back in again, kept faith with him, and was repaid as Worrall helped Rangers to a clean sheet and a win on Sunday.

He gets a lot of stick, but every Rangers player gets stick, whether you like it or not. It is about being able to handle that and he has shown that he can.

He has shown that he is up for the fight and that will do for me, that is for sure.
