RANGERS and Stoke City have a friendship thanks to the Loving Cup and I was fortunate enough to represent the club in a golf match a few years ago and meet Gordon Banks.
Andy Goram was in our team and he was in his element being in the company of a true legend of the game. It was a pleasure for me to be with him as well.
He was a great goalkeeper, arguably the best that England has ever seen, but he was also a real gentleman. I never played against him so it was the first time I had met him and it was a terrific day.
He was a legend and I will always remember him fondly as a player and a person. I was so sorry to hear this week that he had passed away and my thoughts are with his family and friends.
