THE Rangers supporters would have gone home really disappointed at the weekend after seeing their side struggle against St Johnstone and drop two crucial points in the league.

Ibrox will be expecting and demanding a reaction against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup tonight and I would imagine Steve Clarke will point to the crowd in his preparations for the game.

If Kilmarnock can start well, they will hope that the Rangers fans get frustrated a bit earlier because of the game at the weekend.

So it is up to the Rangers players to give the crowd something to shout about in the first 15, 20 minutes of the game and to get on the front foot early.

If Rangers go and get on the ball and create chances early doors, then the crowd will come with them.

That is just what Ibrox is like, you need to give the fans something to get excited about and the first spell of the game is really important in that regard.

Steven spoke before about making Ibrox a difficult place to visit for opposition teams and that certainly has to be the case tonight for Rangers.
