WES FODERINGHAM Didn’t have much to do at the weekend as he deputised for Allan McGregor and wasn’t tested in the first half here as Killie posed little attacking threat. Was even quieter after the break as he earned a simple clean sheet. 6

JAMES TAVERNIER Would have been stung by the accusation from Gerrard that his side lacked leaders against St Johnstone and this was much more like it from the Ibrox captain. Had a hand in both first half goals as he combined with Candeias down the right. Just as impressive after the break on a pleasing night for the right-back. 7

CONNOR GOLDSON Was fairly comfortable in the first period as he coped with what little Kilmarnock created with relative ease. Strolled through the second half. 7

JOE WORRALL Looked shaky at times early on as Kilmarnock tried to get at him but did improve as the half went on. Wasn’t tested after the break. 7

BORNA BARISIC Croatian was perhaps fortunate to retain his starting spot after a poor afternoon against the Saints. This was a better showing, though, as he got forward with more intent and Gerrard will hope there is better to come once again. 7

GLEN KAMARA Marked his Rangers debut with a solid showing against St Johnstone and was one of few to emerge with any credit. Will take plenty of plaudits after this one as he shone in the middle of the park. Positioning and passing were excellent. 8

RYAN JACK Gave boss Gerrard a pre-match boost by winning his fitness battle and showed why he is as important to Rangers. Did his job defensively but was allowed to drive forward at times as well. 7

SCOTT ARFIELD Hasn’t been at his best at times recently but was back on form here as he played his part in an attacking sense for Rangers. Should have done better with a chance early in the second half but couldn’t cap a fine performance with a goal. 7

DANIEL CANDEIAS His combinations with Tavernier and Morelos are a feature of his game and it paid off twice in the first half as he picked out the striker with terrific crosses from the right. Plenty of effort and quality. 7

RYAN KENT Full of running and attacking intent as he and O’Donnell enjoyed a good battle down the Rangers left. Couldn’t get himself a goal but can be pleased with his efforts once again. 7

ALFREDO MORELOS Back in the team and back doing what he does best as he tapped in from inches out and then headed home from a couple of yards to put Rangers in control at the break. Got the hat-trick with a terrific finish at the near post and then made it four for the night with a low strike as he took the claim of the Ibrox crowd once again. 9

Substitutes:

STEVEN DAVIS (for Arfield) Got the last 15 minutes as he looks to build up his fitness and sharpness. 4

ANDY HALLIDAY (for Barisic) Was perhaps unlucky not to start but he wasted little time in making an impact off the bench as he swept home the third goal after a pass from Kent. 5

KYLE LAFFERTY (for Kamara) Offside flag denied him a goal in the final minutes and summed up his luck right now. 3
