RANGERS today lost their appeal against the yellow card Alfredo Morelos was shown in the William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final replay defeat to Aberdeen at Ibrox on Tuesday night.
Morelos was booked for diving in the opposition box by referee Kevin Clancy in the first-half of a game that Steven Gerrard's side lost 2-0.
The Glasgow club appealed against the decision because the player was cautioned for simulation.
However, a fast track tribunal today upheld the yellow card meaning that the Columbian striker will be suspended for Rangers' first Scottish Cup game next season if he is still in Scotland.
