Sean Maitland; Hugely exposed for the first score, waving frantically for support that didn’t come. Met Kyle Sinckler with a brave smother tackle and superb defensively -7
Darcy Graham; Made a try-saving tackle in the first period. But what a finisher the Hawick boy proved to be as the Scots cut loose. A new star - 8
Nick Grigg; The usual gritty and determined performance from the Warriors centre against the hard-hitting crash ball runners England possessed. Will be sore but happy - 7
Sam Johnson; Nice early run, hugely brave head-on tackle to halt Manu Tuilagi on full throttle. Showed real commitment and was a key man as Scotland fought back - 8
Byron McGuigan; Saw little of the ball, and when he did was usually surrounded by white shirts. Hard shift against the English onslaught, but came good eventually -7
Finn Russell; Battled hard with his team in semi-permanent reverse, and had better days with the boot. But was key in unleashing the Scots backs - 8
Ali Price; Bravely tried to stem the white tide that swamped the Scots early on. Superb chip and chase to set up a score for Bradbury - 7
Allan Dell; His great afternoon against the Welsh must have felt a distant memory at half-time. Stuck with it though faced with a dominating English pack - 6
Stuart McInally; Managed to finally get Scotland on the board after 35 minutes when he charged down Farrell’s kick to run half the pitch to score. The comeback catalyst - 8
Willem Nel; A measure of any player when they can still give their all when so much is going wrong. Solid in the scrum in extreme circumstances - 6
Ben Toolis; The Edinburgh giant showed up well in every department against two English powerhouses in Kruis and Launchbury. Met fire with fire throughout - 7
Grant Gilchrist; Easily one of Scotland most consistent players during the duration of this Championship, more than matched his opposite numbers - 7
Sam Skinner; You got the feeling that even when the odds were against the Scots he was thriving in this environment. Never shirked a tackle - 7
Hamish Watson; Yet again, showed his illusiveness with the ball in hand, bouncing off opponents and setting England backwards constantly. One of our top performers - 8
Magnus Bradbury; Showed some superb reading of the game and natural ability in chasing up Price’s chip and take to get Scotland right back in the contest -7
Replacements
Fraser Brown; One of a quintet who appeared after 56 minutes
Gordon Reid; appeared after 45 minutes
Simon Berghan; introduced for Nel after an hour
Jonny Gray; appeared after 56 minutes
Josh Strauss; another who came on after 56 minutes
Greig Laidlaw; replaced Price after 56 minutes
Adam Hastings; called from the bench for Maitland late
Chris Harris; One of a quintet who appeared after 56 minutes
Elliot Daly; The Lions star produced one piece of handling magic - a back of the hand pass to Jack Nowell - as England turned on the exhibition stuff -7
Jack Nowell; Marvellous run and angle to motor in for the first English try after just 67 seconds. Immense enthusiasm and workrate even when chasing the game -7
Henry Slade; Ran a great line to set up his Exeter Chiefs team-mate Nowell for the opening score. Then set up May for try No.4 with a great slight of hand - 8
Manu Tuilagi; Took a wee bit to find his feet - particularly after Sam Johnson’s crash tackle in the opening minutes. Always a danger with his forceful runs - 7
Jonny May; Like all good wingers, his support running was exemplary throughout and profited from being one the shoulder of Henry Slade in the first-half - 7
Owen Farrell; With that early try on the board Farrell needed no second opportunity or thought to press home the advantage. Looked bewildered by Scots fightback -7
Ben Youngs; Became England’s most capped scrum-half on the day - his 85th appearance - and but for a knock-on would have had a try to celebrate - 7
Ben Moon; Sang the National Anthem with great gusto, then got a Ben Toolis in the ribs and his day was done after four minutes - 2
Jamie George; Was having a field day and all dominant at the set play while England were on top. Once the comeback began, Jamie was posted AWOL - 7
Kyle Sinckler; Rampaging run from the England tighthead was the foundation for Launchbury’s try. Not as easy to wind up yesterday and was all the better for it -7
Joe Launchbury; Almost like a breakaway forward in his support play which earned him a score during that mental opening quarter. Tireless worker in all areas - 8
George Kruis; Two great hits on Finn Russell meant the Scots just couldn’t get a toe-hold in this one. Superb first-up tackler through this campaign for England - 8
Mark Wilson; Like all good flankers the Newcastle Falcons man was quick to the breakdown and tackle but met his match against the Scots backrow -7
Tom Curry; Has to be one of England’s players of the tournament and made his mark within first ten minutes of this tie with a pushover try - 7
Billy Vunipola; His take on a short throw to the line-out - straight off the training ground - set up the English for their second try - 7
Replacements
Luke Cowan-Dickie; 74th minute sub for George
Ellis Genge; On from just the fourth minutes after Ben Moon was crocked -6
Dan Cole; Stepped in after 50 minutes for Sinckler
Brad Shields; sub for Wilson on the hour mark
Nathan Hughes; Given last six minutes to influence the outcome
Ben Spencer; replaced the fatigued Youngs
George Ford ; swapped for skipper Farrell with ten left
Ben Te’o; last ditch sub for Tuilagi
