The car, described as a silver coloured Astra GTC, failed to stop before driving off in the direction of Rutherglen.
Following the incident, the victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and has since been released.
Detective Constable Ross Philip said: “This road is often busy with traffic and I’m sure there were other vehicles on the road when the car was deliberately driven at the victim.
"I’m appealing to anyone who may have seen this incident or who may have any information or knowledge about the crime or the suspect to get in touch with us.
"Your information could prove vital in progressing our investigation.”
