Glasgow is, this coming weekend, set to become home to a unique pop-up shopping centre in one of the most iconic buildings in the city.

The I.D. Pop-Up Store will be making an appearance at The Lighthouse in Mitchell Lane, just off Buchanan Street, on July 15 and 16.

Organisers have described how shoppers can look forward to six floors of “absolute beauty” within the building which is known to be a beacon for the creative industries in Scotland.

Aiming to create an alternative to high street shopping, independent entrepreneurs will be bringing the things they are passionate about making, crafting, and collecting.

The weekend is being put together by West End fair organiser Granny Would Be Proud (GWBP).

GWBP has said: “Our aim is to promote small independent creatives, and bring together like-minded people to our family while having masses of fun in the process.”

The ground floor of the arts space will see jewellers offer new designs, while the first floor will be dedicated to home interior and homewares.

The second floor will be a boutique heaven for lovers of independent fashion, as the third floor houses a kid’s department.

The fourth floor corridor will be aimed at the fashion-conscious male with stylish clothes, accessories, and beard oils. The same floor will have a design, vintage, and craft market place.

Finally, the fifth floor will be filled with traders offering food including chocolates, pastries, and savoury goods.

Entry to the shop is free and will be open 10.30am to 5pm on Saturday, July 15 and 12pm to 5pm on Sunday, July 16.
