It was arranged over social media and quickly descended into chaos and now, images have emerged showing the extent of the disorder on Troon beach yesterday.
Those who were present at the impromptu gathering were quick to share snaps of hundreds of young people who descended in South Ayrshire as cops battled to being the crowds under control.
As reported earlier, a 14-year-old was among several people arrested as more than 6,000 revellers flocked to the beach in what was one of the hottest days of the year so far.

The majority of the arrests were for breach of the peace. However, two people were detained for alleged possession of offensive weapons.
Police also seized “significant quantities” of alcohol and posted images onto Twitter of the sheer number of bottles confiscated.
Around 25 officers and police horses were deployed as the force dealt with the revellers.
