Hollywood superstar Chris Pine has hit the west end of Glasgow for a pre-shoot party, it has emerged.

The Star Trek and Unstoppable actor was at SWG3 in Eastvale Place to celebrate before his latest project kicks off.

In a snap which has been doing the rounds on social media, the 36-year-old Californian is seen embracing an adoring fan outside the popular event venue and warehouse while slumming it in a woolly hat and dungarees.

The image has also been given the seal of approval from the arts venue which retweeted it from its own page.

The picture comes after the Evening Times reported how the actor had been spotted in and around the city, sending Twitter fans wild as the hunt to catch a glimpse of the star commenced.

Chris has jetted into Glasgow to shoot scenes for Outlaw King, a major feature film on king Robert the Bruce.

The Evening Times also reported in July how film bosses had looked to the city for bearded extras to take part in project.

According to Deadline, the film is set to star hunk Chris as the king and X-Men star Ben Foster as adviser James Douglas.

It will also be directed by Scotsman David Mackenzie known for the Oscar-nominated Hell or High Water, released last year.
