A CHARITY which provides a lifeline to lonely OAPs has made an urgent appeal for 25 new volunteers.
Contact the Elderly provides tea parties for the elderly run by volunteers in their own homes.
The charity is looking for hosts and drivers to boost existing groups in West and South Glasgow, Dumbarton, Cardross and North Lanarkshire.
It is also hoping to launch a new group in Newton Mearns.
- The Dumbarton group is in urgent need of three new drivers and a group coordinator.
- In North Lanarkshire, there is a need for a group coordinator and driver.
- In South Glasgow, from Pennilee through to Giffnock, there are existing groups in need of more hosts.
- A group coordinator is needed for West Glasgow.
- The Cardross group needs more hosts
- To launch a new group in Newton Mearns, the charity needs drivers, hosts and a group coordinator.
