A FOOTBALL manager who was shot at in Cambuslang has regained consciousness and is due to be quizzed by detectives in hospital today.
The Scottish Sun reports that Cambuslang Rangers manager Paul McColl, who was in an induced coma, will speak to cops hunting for his gunman.
Last week, McColl was shot at on Borgie Crescent. He received injuries to his face and stomach.
The 48-year-old then made his way to the Kirkhill Bar on Cadoc Street where emergency services were eventually called.
The hit is being treated as attempted murder.
A pal revealed: “Paul is awake but still pretty groggy. His partner and kids have been in.
“Police are desperate to speak to him about what happened. Whether he’ll be able to tell them much is another matter.”
Previously, Detective Superintendent Allan Burton said: “We are focusing on identifying the background of his lifestyle to try to identify anyone with a grudge, and are looking at potential links to organised crime.”
