A SCHOOL has started a fundraising campaign after heartless thieves nicked money they had put aside for a new outdoor garden.
The Jimmy Dunnachie Family Centre and Ashpark Primary School in Thornliebank in Glasgow's Southside want to raise £1,000.
A JustGiving page has been set up in a bid to claw back the money taken by the thieves.
It is understood that the theft happened at around 1.30am on Thursday, March 15.
The page reads: "Jimmy Dunnachie Family Centre and Ashpark Primary School were broken into last night.
"The fundraising money for the children’s new outdoor garden, toy fund and the school’s Easter fundraising money have all been stolen.
"Staff, parents and other members of the community are devastated that this has happened as everyone works hard to ensure children are provided with opportunities to learn and grow within the community.
"We are hoping to raise funds to compensate for the money that was stolen."
It is understood Police Scotland are investigating the incident.
A total of £390 has been raised so far and you can donate here https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/rebecca-magee
