Singing sensation Sam gave Ingibjörg a shout-out fans could only dream of on Instagram in a post that got around 300,000 reactions.
Left awestruck by the young woman in the crowd at the SSE Hydro, 25-year-old Sam shared an image of Ingibjörg girl on Instagram. Also praising the city, the crooner wrote: “Glasgow. My heart is yours. I feel so alive and so overwhelmed after the last few nights. Thank you so much for giving us your all. I can’t wait to sing for you all again.
“P.S. the girl in the centre of this picture took my breath away tonight. You knew every single word & I could feel your love and support throughout the show. I love you whoever you may be xxxxxxxx.”
Ingibjörg has since made contact with the Evening Times expressing her surprise and delight.
The 20-year-old - who works in a youth club for children with disabilities - said of the moment Sam shared her picture: “It felt very surreal. I was in shock, really. It’s an amazing feeling to be noticed by your idol and to have him feel and acknowledge how much I love him. His music is a very special thing that I will forever be grateful for.
