A POPULAR Rangers pub next to Ibrox Stadium has claimed Celtic fans are behind vandalism on its walls.

The Louden Tavern, on Copland Road, shared images of the scrawling on the outside wall reading ‘RANGERS SCUM’ in red spray paint.

Posting the picture on its Facebook, staff wrote: “Well, to celebrate their success at the weekend some of the Celtic support decided to damage private property and obsess about Rangers. As predictable as it is pathetic.”

The venue - which is less than half a mile from Ibrox Stadium - also shared the image on Twitter, writing: “On a weekend where they achieve a treble, they are still obsessed with us. They really need to get a life!”

A war of worlds quickly broke out between both Rangers and Celtic fans, with many questioning how the pub came to the conclusion it was Hoops supporters behind the act of vandalism.

One Facebook user then posted an image of another part of the wall which showed the words ‘CELTIC CFC’ written in green.

As of this morning, the word ‘RANGERS’ had been scored out in black with ‘SEVCO’ written over it instead.

The pub said the issue had been reported to the council “who will fix it for us.” The Louden Tavern responded to the Evening Times’ request for comment. Read it here.
