FERRY bosses have warned visitors to Millport to start heading home or be stuck on the island.
CalMac said there had been an "exceptional volume of traffic" as temperatures soared on the bank holiday Monday.
People who have not started to make their way home are being urged to do so as soon as possible.

Delays of two hours are being experienced and are predicted to get worse.
Traffic snarl ups have been common throughout the day.

At Loch Lomond the A82 to Luss was at a standstill as drives tried to make their way back to the city.
Those who have travelled to Balmaha are also facing major congestion on the northbound route of the B837.
Rail passengers are also experiencing delays due to an earlier signal fault near Glasgow Central.
Anyone who travelled out to Wemyss Bay, Ardrossan, Largs, Ayr and Gourock is facing disruption to services back into the city.
