A POPULAR Glasgow bar has commended a customer for returning a flag that was stolen.

The Ark, on North Frederick Street, shared an image of a “sorry” note it received from a an anonymous punter on Wednesday along with the missing item, an Argentinian flag.

The letter said: “I was in The Ark on Saturday to watch the football. Had too much to drink and stupidly stole this flag.

“Feel really bad as I love your bar.

“Hope there’s no hard feelings.

“Sorry!”

The staff shared it on their Facebook page with the caption: “Thank you considerate customer.”

A member of staff at the bar told the Evening Times: “It was the Champions League Final on Saturday so it was quite busy. We didn’t even notice the flag was gone until it was the end of the night.

“The person who sent it back didn’t leave their name and is obviously quite embarrassed.

“But we want them to know we really appreciate it and they’re welcome back any time.”
