A LARGE area of waste ground has been cordoned off in Drumchapel amid reports a body has been found.
Up to nine Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service vehicles have descended on the area early this morning after the alarm was raised shortly before 8am.
The cordon has been put into place from Ledmore Drive, around Kinfauns Drive, past St Clare’s Primary School and up to Drumchapel High.
Forensic officers have also since arrived at the area and have erected a small tent.
Locals have claimed that a body was discovered in the area. However, Police Scotland has yet to provide confirmation on this, and the Evening Times has contacted the force for comment.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 7.48am today to attend an incident on Kilcloy Avenue in Drumchapel.
“We dispatched two ambulances to the scene.”
