A MAN has been left with severe facial injuries after two thugs pushed their way into a Larkhall house.

The 36-year-old was inside a house in Hawick Crescent on Friday when the duo turned up around 3.10pm.

After the assault, the pair ran outside to waiting silver/grey Jaguar X-Typecar that was being driven by a third man.

They made off at speed into Socita Crescent.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital and later transferred to Monklands Hospital where he was treated.

The first suspect who entered the house is described as white, 5ft 6, early 50s, slim build with short dark hair. He was wearing black clothing.

While the second is white, around 6ft 2, dark hair shaven into his head, 40s, stocky/muscular build with tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt and blue jeans.

Detective Constable Ashley Hind at Cambuslang CID said: “This was a very brutal attack on an innocent man."

“Anyone who was in the vicinity and may have seen the suspects or a silver/grey car hanging about is asked to contact police immediately.

“Anyone who has the suspects or vehicle captured on their Dash Cam is also asked to contact police as this could prove vital in tracing those responsible for this despicable act of violence.”
