A YOUNG man was rushed to hospital on Monday night after being assaulted in Castlemilk.
Police dashed to close off Lainshaw Drive, at Blaeloch Drive, just before 8pm.
The Evening Times understand there was still a police presence in the area just before midnight.

Police Scotland said the force was alerted to an incident at 7.40pm and that a 21-year-old man was assaulted.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is currently unknown.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said crews were alerted to an incident at 7.41pm.
One ambulance and a 3RU unit - which responds to out-of-hospital cardiac arrest calls - were dispatched to the scene.
He added: “We transported one male patient in his twenties to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
